I have a couple questions I would like you to consider for today's writing. Should there be a code of ethics for blogs? Should anyone be aloud to post anything they want? If so, how can you trust any of it. Here is a code of ethics that a major blogger came up with.
1. Publish as fact only things that you believe are true. don't post rumors, and if you are guessing that something might be true, tell them that you are guessing.
2. If you are writing about something that exists online, link to it. This allows your readers to judge for themselves the validity of what you are writing about.
3. Publicly correct anything that you found out you are wrong about. If you were wrong, say you were wrong!
4. Don't change anything you have written in the past. You may have people linking to your blogs and if you change them the links will not be appropriate. Instead of changing old blog posts that you have changed your mind about, add your new perspectives onto the bottom as a footnote.
Tell me what you think.

Umami for the mind
Umami is the fifth taste. We taste sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami. It can be described as a pleasant taste, or the taste that makes you feel good and satisfied. A warm satisfaction. I would like you to describe a place that you would leave you feeling that way. A place that would be your ultimate happy place, leaving you feeling completely relaxed and content.

What Kelsey said...

Today, Kelsey, my friend and former student posted a question in her blog and I am interested in your answer.
Do you think some words should be kept private? Or should we reveal our whole selves in order to become closer to others?
What is just yours? Does anyone really know you? Really? How do you choose who does? Do they have to meet a certain criteria? What if your present best friends left, or you went to college without them like Kelsey. How long do you think it would take to trust someone that much? Is there a you that no one else knows and should you let anyone in that deep? Why?
